New year awaits

During 2012 I have been working on lots of different projects. Mostly class quilts for this coming year. Here's a selection....
Sunflower - reproduction scrappy flowers with lots of scraps in the sashing

Snowballs - foundation pieced at random with a fabulous big print border

The centre of this top started life as a linen table cloth with embroidery and a very large blank centre. It just called out for some applique (the vase etc) then I couldn't resist some tiny hexagons!
Zoom in to see how the hexagons echo the embroidery. Finally a vintage curtain fabric border.
This is Hatchet but I don't seem to have a finished pic. It's all pinned and ready for quilting too

Piecing, applique, curves and foundation piecing - it's all here.

Summer school project for Hobbysew next week.
And this is a sneak peak at a quilt coming out in April Homespun - scrappy again.
Can you see a theme here?
Anyway I'm ready and rearing to go for this year's classes with lots of new projects.
Hope I see you somewhere soon! Check out my CLASSES list on the sidebar.

  3. Absolutely love the tablecloth applique quilt with the little hexagons - the colours are gorgeous too! A very clever idea and so nice to see the tablecloth recycled ..or should it be "upcycled"?!

  5. You have been busy putting together great designs that can be made by using the mass of scraps that we Quilters seem to acquire. Well done again for great designs.
