Flattery

Just a quick post before we're off to quilt camp.

Have a look at the latest issue of Quilters Companion and you'll see my quilt on the left as a project this month. A hand pieced and hand quilted hexagon sampler.

Another piece of interesting news is here at Blueberries' blog where Tracey gives a critique of my Mariners class at the shop in April. It's good to get feedback - lucky it was on a positive note!

  1. Hi Chris - that is such a LOVELY quilt - congratulations! Got the magazine open here - love the colours and all that clever fussy-cutting. It's on my "list" and should use up a few of those stockpiled reproduction fabrics. What is the beautiful large print brown/ blue floral you have used on the long top and bottom outer border - ooh and for the centre (you clever girl)?
A complete change from your foundation piecing eh? but just as nice....
    All the best :)

  2. Good morning campers. Wow, what a great time I had at the quilt camp last weekend. I achieved my goal of completing my Oriental Journey quilt top. It was great to see what other people are doing, the creative ideas and use of colour. A great weekend was had by all and topped off by my little chat with "Tom Ass" on the way out the gate. Can't wait for the next one. Many thanks to Christ and Ann.
