Cooma

Home now after a great weekend workshop in Cooma with the Wednesday Piecemakers
Two projects in my class - Mariners Madness and Strippy Sampler - one so precise and the other very free-form.
Heidi began hers at home so finished a lot more than the others. Isn't it fabulous! All Liberty plus that almost-linen weight grey background.
Part of the curved cutting and piecing strip from the Sampler.

These could all go in the one quilt tho they are the work of five different students

This is the quilt they were working on. In the time frame they got a start on all the strips and they've promised to send me pics to share down the track.
Jan's Mariners centre - again it wasn't possible to finish in two days but the 12 students I had all made a good start.

Strippy Sampler "bits"

Then it was show and tell from my class last year.
Lots of beautiful NYB quilts...

and a couple of Dahlia finishes too. This is the front but my pic is so off you can't see the quilting...
and OMG this was the back - light thread on a dark back. It was absolutely beautiful and I'm hoping it will be entered in this year's Sydney Quilt Show in June.

This was my third visit to this lovely group and Janelle , the other tutor, and I have been invited back again next year. You'd think they'd be sick of me by now!
Great girls, beautiful accommodation and Cooma is a lovely town. If you're down that way put it in your diary - Valentine's weekend 2016.

Various

A few class pics from the end of last year because 2015 classes have only just begun.
\
These two quilts are the same pattern - Emperors Wheel - but don't they look different.
Great work from Christina above and Wendy below.

Lesley has a plan for these NYB blocks involving the fussy-cut peacocks. Looks great.
Susan has done a fine job on the Faux Wedding Ring quilt. Just needs quilting now.

And a new one of mine - still a WIP. It's a workshop at Quiltsmith in April if you're interested. Ring the shop for details.

This is our beautiful raffle quilt for the Springwood Quilt Show, last weekend in April.
It's been beautifully quilted by Susie Anderson from Leura Quilting.

On-line entry forms are available NOW so if you're a Blue Mountains quilter get your entries in please and you can buy tickets at the show.
Finally a new pattern in my etsy shop - Asian Strings.
Big foundation pieced blocks with a scalloped circle centre. Great way to display large prints in the setting triangles too.
