Holidays have come and gone and what a great time we had by the water watching the passing parade of boats into Brisbane Water. Lots of visitors over the 2 weeks and not one stitch taken on anything. Now it's back to some of my own sewing til classes start again in February.
I'm working on a quilt for Homespun Mag and playing around with distorted blocks in a lone star arrangement - very interesting to see things like the double wedding ring elongated to fit a diamond shape. EQ has so many possibilities when you get the hang of it.
Have had a few calls re classes in other shops - Berrima, Quiltsmith, CJ's at Maitland - the new year looks to be pretty busy already. Better get back to it then!

Classes have finished for the year and I'm looking forward to a long break to recharge for a busy year coming up. We had a couple of Xmas lunches - they seemed to go on all week! with show and tell at our last class. Caroline had a beautiful hexagon quilt on the go - all handwork to keep her busy at night in front of the tellie. Well done.
I'm busy working on a new quilt for Homespun mag at the moment - repro fabrics with foundation piecing and applique and it's been difficult to make a quilt to specifications. I'd rather do my own thing I've decided.
Also having fun with distorted blocks in a lone star arrangement from EQ. Hope to finish all these over the break to have ready for the new term.
Best get back to it then and have a lovely Xmas everyone.

The new me
I finally got around to making a new blog - Bigpond was way too slow. Lots of new quilts to add to the collection plus I need to download the existing ones. Wish me luck.
