Last weekend was my fourth visit to Snake Gully in Muswellbrook, a town in the Hunter Valley wine country. My hosts Liz and Robert are so welcoming it really feels like home with lots of country cooking thrown in.
The projects for the workshop were Pickled Lillies and Square Dance and the girls made a good start on both.
They've made a new sign since my last visit - I didn't count the buttons but there were lots! They looked like lollies.
More Pickle blocks
Square Dance blocks were coming together at the same time with lots of different fabric combos. They all looked great.
Matiah (14 yo) is working on the borders of her Chocolate Stars from a previous workshop,
with Square Dance in the background.
Kay's table centre from last year also came out for show-and-tell.
And this is a regular visitor I am told - can't remember her name but what a cutie!
I have a two day workshop coming up for Quilt Escape at Cottage Quiltworks in Warriewood 6-7 July.
It's a big 20" foundation pieced block so you only need five for the top plus half and quarter blocks and you've got a big quilt.
Give the shop a ring if you're interested in a fun class at a great venue.
Have you seen this bookazine yet? It's a collection of past scrap projects from Quilters Companion magazine and I have one in it. Outstanding quality and 19 top class designs for you to make. At only $20 it's a bargain! On sale now at newsagents.
