Lots of pics today from my recent quilt camp...
Lorraine's Rattle Snake from a Karen Stone pattern. Beautiful Kaffe fabrics with different greys.
Lots of locals each morning to greet us.
This was a great idea from Janette via Sue Cody. Two fabric boards with polystyrene either side then wrapped in calico. Draw your hexie size on it and play around with the placement before sewing. Who would have thought!
Just goes to show nothing will stop us sewing. Christine had a fall on the slippery paths and has an ice-pack on her supported knee. No stopping her!
One of my projects on Saturday via Lorrie Cranor. My first go at this style and I love the result.
Pam's been powering away at her George 111 blocks. All hand pieced and only hundreds to go!
Wendy's Emperors Wheel above and Lorraine's below. Well done girls!
Sharon's doing amazing things with her Scrappy Windmills blocks too.
I'm a tutor at the Community Sewing Day on the Central Coast on 30th May. Three different tutors with totally different projects.
If you're interested ring All About Sewing at Charmhaven or Blueberries at Wyong for details.
A pic from Sue of her Reproduction Beauties quilted and bound - looks amazing!
And a pic from the weekend's Berry Quilt Show. Apparently there was a Chris Jurd Corner of quilts. How good do they all look together,
Totally unrelated to quilting but here's my new grandson Zac. 3 weeks old and such a chilled out little man.
Chris, amazing work as always from your students, I would love to know more about the George111 blocks. Zac is adorable and I can see Harper in him, I am not surprised that there was a number of your quilts at the Berry show, you have a following, keep up the creativity, miss my classes.
