Part,of my time off recently was four days of classes at the AMQF, as a student on a domestic machine. What a great festival. Four of us rented a house and soaked up all the quilty happenings.
The festival included a quilt show and my Go Girl quilt was placed third, in the Small Innovative section. Amazing quilting by Leanne Harvey from Mt Vincent Quilts.
My buddy Ann's William Morris quilt won first in the Novice section with great quilting by Kyeen McPherson. Out of our group of four, two were prize winners. Not bad!
Kellie joined me in Bethann Nemesh's class on feathers. That's a look of terror!
Loved Bethann's version of feathering. I'll definitely use this in the future.
The festival is on every two years and is a great effort by Tracey Browning and the festival committee. It's on my calendar for 2018.
Good looking Scrap Happy blocks from Liz via Snake Gully quilters.
And the start of our raffle quilt for next years Springwood Quilt show. 20 x 9" blocks with lots,of tiny hexagons. Designed by Anne Sommerlad with an oriental theme. Follow the link to see more blocks as they appear.
Haven't kids birthday parties changed! This is my granddaughter at her friend's 4th birthday. Apparently it was a blast with lots of hand/eye coordination required. I'm surprised they made safety harnesses that small! Such a little warrior.
On my design wall at the moment. A full pic soon.
