I've just had the weekend in Cooma doing 2 days with the Wednesday Piecemakers
Most of the girls were working on the NYB blkocks with great results as you can see.
Heidi from http://goneaussiequilting.blogspot.com.au/ was working with these Kaffe fabrics and solids - wow factor here.
Lots of colour in the room.....
with batiks...
autumn tones...
repro fabrics...
and even some William Morris. Just goes to show really anything works as long as there is CONTRAST!
Three rebels began my new Hatchet quilt. Not a quick project but fun all the same.
The Hatchet top
Helen AKA Hell-on-wheels bought along her finished Basket Case top and here are a couple of her blocks. Click for a closer look at the embellished ric rac!
Cooma is a lovely town and I had a great time with the group. They even invited me back next year!
The blocks are very colourful and I especially like the NYB with the William Morris fabric it gives me the feel of well, New York. I have to make the baskets love them!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! And I *LOVE* the embellishment she
