On Saturday the 29thJuly at The Glover Cottages 124 Kent St in the Rocks I'll be giving a talk for the Quilt Study Group all about my favourite technique, foundation piecing. This is from their program:
"Inspiring quilt teacher, pattern designer and quilt maker from the Blue Mountains, Chris Jurd, will talk about Foundation Piecing and show us how her favourite technique figures in her work. Come along to pick up lots of tips and see some of her gorgeous quilts."
It's open to QuiltNSW members $5 fee and visitors $10 and includes afternoon tea. Too cheap!
It all kicks off at 2pm so please come along and bring your friends - I need an audience!
Also put in your diary the Misty Mountains Getaway held every year in Dorrigo.
I'm teaching three projects over four days 23-26 September and there are lots of other tutors on at the same time.
You can join me for one day of piecing traditional blocks in a non-traditional manner - it's called Cut Loose as is a lot of fun. No rules - anything goes!
Another one day class is String Stars. Start on some big 20" string-pieced stars.
And the two day class is Strippy Sampler where you'll learn a different technique in each strip.
See the link above for all the details.
