Three things you should have at a quilt retreat.

FUN, FUN and more FUN!
And that's just what happened at the recent Hobbysew retreat at The Tops Conference Centre in Stanwell Tops. Two days of workshops with three different teachers, great food, excellent accommodation and a good time to boot.

This was my project for the weekend - a foundation pieced Southern Wheel block.
These were the other two tutors - Amanda Daley and Michele Hill. Lovely ladies and we had a ball together.

The venue was top class - this was our classrooms and accommodation block.
WIP...

...and more WIP

Cindy with her finished block

and you can see these three really enjoyed themselves!

Here's my class angel Terrie. What a star she was. I couldn't have done it without her.
Saturday night we played Bingo with an amazing array of prizes including a sewing machine!
Money raised went to SewAid - Hobbysew's own charity.

And there was dancing! Amanda's version of Nutbush.
From the tutors' point of view it was a first class event in every way and if you have the opportunity next year you should go. It was a blast!
Can't go without a link, Check out these pencils!
